After the strenuous hike to the top, this amazing landscape presented itself in all its beautiful glory. This is a location that I strongly recommend visiting. However, if you go at night, be sure to bring a powerful flashlight to assist with navigation as the way back down to the parking lot can be a bit tricky in the dark. via 500px

Reef Bean Im constantly looking for new and unique compositions in and around the reefs of La Jolla. On this day the smaller waves were washing up on top of the rocks to the right, and cascading down to the left like a waterfall, occasionally filling the void around the rock in the foreground. I was so intrigued by it that I payed no attention to the rising tide. Occasionally the bigger waves would roar through soaking me up above the knees. Typically when I shoot at the reefs I wear shorts and sandals but this day I went straight from work..... So here I am wearing jeans and a collared shirt, up to my knees in water, standing on slippery moss covered rocks, about to get swept away by the waves. All while holding a camera bag full of gear and my camera. via 500px
