++view on black++ When I was younger I had these dreams and aspirations of becoming a meteorologist and thankfully photography has allowed me to really nerd out on some of the finer details in that field. I started studying the weather maps Friday afternoon and saw that we might get a nice break around sunset with the possibility of a convergence zone setting up over the Skagit Valley area. Typically when fronts roll through we get some amazing light on the backside of them up here in the PNW. I decided to roll the dice and make the hour and a half long trip up north. It definitely paid off. This was one of the nicest sunsets I've seen in quite some time. Skagit Valley, WA via 500px
