Garden Of Eden Sunset by JTPatterson

Garden Of Eden Sunset - Arches National Park, Moab, Utah (USA) Lightroom 5.7: used for initial processing Photoshop CC 2014: used for final processing The last day of my recent 4 night Milky Way night sky photography workshop in Arches National Park came to an end this past Monday, March 23. Since I'm flexible, I accommodated for two participants later arrival and extended the workshop into Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. After my group finished photographing the Milky Way over Mesa Arch Monday morning followed by sunrise, we said our goodbyes and we went our own ways. For 2-3 other participants, we continued to photography to sunset, taking a short afternoon break to get in a power nap. Later Monday afternoon, Rachel Brockey, Bill Whetstone and I met up just to the south side of The Garden of Eden by the road which takes you to The Windows and we went out to take a few early sunset shots of what looks like a second set of The Parade of Elephants. To the north of us, we had some pretty dark clouds and the sun peeked through the clouds in the west and just saturated the rocks here in an amazing way. In 2016, I will lead another 4 night Milky Way night sky workshop in Arches National Park. My next 3 day photography workshop I lead will be in the Teton Mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming (USA). Check out the dates ... hope to see you there. via 500px
