Everlasting Light by PedroQuintela1

My today´s image is the product of many attempts in the magic location of Monsanto. I idealized this image about half year ago but only in last October (after many trips and trying) I finally had the conditions to make it. Be in a 12th century historic location with a 13.4 billion years Milky Way as background makes us think about life and puts things in perspective. I really never thought that this kind of moment could have such deep impact in me. But it did in many ways. I´ve kept it in my HD during all this month waiting for a proper moment. On the technical side, first of all this is a double exposure. I did many attempts with one exposure but it had always flaws, with the IQ suffering from parasite light, noise, among others. But eventually I got there with a double exposure of 10 seconds (ISO 400) for the foreground and 25 (ISO 3200) to the sky. Then enhanced the sky with curves, luminosity masks and processed the rest of the frame trying to get a bit of an ethereal mood. Also used a 12 led flash light for the foreground on location. I hope that you like it and feel a bit of what it meant that evening to me. My other everlasting light are all of you, that give me so much support to my humble images. Thanks for all your warmth and support. Don´t forget to enjoy life, the small details each day because when we will gone this walk here should be worth it. Happy shooting! via 500px
